Whether you are a teacher, parent, or student, you know there is a major shift that occurs when summer turns to fall. It can feel thrilling to know that we will all be back in a routine. It can also evoke feelings of anxiety and ‘how will I ever figure this out?’
Let’s be proactive and establish the habits we need to feel at ease, successful, and ready for what the new academic year has in store for us.
Here’s a hold to try for just such an occasion: Diaper Seat Hold. A great way to turn around wee ones’ fussiness is to make them feel secure and connect to the world around them. Note this hold is done once you have offered diaper, food, and nap to no avail.
As the winter days wind down and the spring weather approaches, many come out of hibernation. The spring season is often a time for children to play outside, participate in outdoor sports, and just enjoy the feeling of being outside in the fresh air. However, during this warm and bright season, it can also be a time of anxiety for children – standardized testing, midterms, and school is coming to an end soon. Practicing yoga and taking time for mindful activities can help combat the stressors of anxiety.
