After teaching Spanish immersion preschool and integrating yoga and SEL into the curriculum, Lara realized the BEST moments she had with her students were the ones spent breathing, connecting, and understanding each other. Those moments steeped in social-emotional learning, movement, and breath were transformative for the students and for Lara, too. Lara Hocheiser is the award-winning author of the My Yoga Workbook series and Founder of Flow and Grow Kids Yoga . Lara graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Spanish from Roanoke College (Salem, VA). After she received certification as a Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RTY, RCYT), she started her own business, Flow and Grow Kids Yoga , and garnered notoriety for her training programs across the Northeast, with plans of national and international expansion. She has worked in the early childhood education sector for 17 years and has over 15 years of experience studying, teaching and living the yoga path. Lara’s blog won the #5 kids yoga blog worldwide, claiming this title based on editorial choice for the free, high- quality resources, illustrations of children of all walks of life, tips for parents and teachers, and interviews. She follows a secular model to teach focus, relaxation, and healthy habits to educators, parents, children and clinicians.
