This is an online course, part of Flow and Grow 95-Hour Online Children's Yoga Teacher Training RCYT. 

Trainees may wish to take this course individually or as part of the entire training package.

 

Discover how to bring yoga and mindfulness to the tweens and teens in your life.

Yoga and mindfulness brings a plethora of benefits such as forming healthy habits, reduced stress, and increasing self-awareness, emotional regulation, focus, empathy, and kindness. 

Learn how working with teens is different, what to expect when working with children ages 11-18, and how to adapt to working with them.

We will cover developmental stages of tweens/teens and how movement, mindfulness, breathing practices, games, and relaxation exercises can support growth, self-awareness, resilience, positive thinking, and health/wellness.

Attendees will leave the course with the knowledge and tools to bring yoga and mindfulness while enabling tweens/teens to build lifelong healthy habits.

This 2-week course is designed for educators, yoga teachers, parents, therapists, counselors, psychologists or anyone who works with tweens/teens.

Our Vision

Because teaching children’s yoga is much more than yoga poses, we see this course as a pathway to mature as an educator, parent, instructor, counselor, or whatever role you hold or plan to hold. Go beyond the poses by incorporating mindfulness, self-reflection and self-inquiry, art, meditation, positive self-talk, relaxation, student-lead programming, and more.
